Committed to our planet.

Sustainability is a huge part of the ethos and experience at Wild Scottish Sauna. Central to our sustainability efforts is our use of locally sourced wood to heat our sauna. By sourcing wood from nearby forests, we minimise transportation emissions and support the local economy. This ensures that our guests can enjoy the warmth of our sauna knowing that they are contributing to the preservation of Scotland’s precious woodlands.
Furthermore, we take pride in being entirely off-grid, removing reliance on traditional electricity supplies. Our reliance on renewable energy sources underscores our dedication to reducing our carbon footprint and operating in harmony with nature. This commitment extends to our minimal use of fresh water, with guests encouraged to embrace the invigorating experience of cooling off in the nearby sea. By harnessing the natural elements, we not only conserve water but also provide a unique and unforgettable experience for our guests.
In line with our eco-conscious approach, we actively promote reusable practices. Guests are encouraged to bring their own water bottles, reducing the need for single-use plastics. In collaboration with the Fife Coastal Trust, we offer fresh drinking water onsite, ensuring hydration without compromising the environment. Additionally, we take pride in our role as stewards of the coastline, regularly organising beach clean-up initiatives to preserve the pristine beauty of our surroundings.
At Wild Scottish Sauna, sustainability isn’t an afterthought—it’s part of everything we do. From our reliance on local resources to our commitment to reducing waste, we strive to leave a positive impact on both our guests and the environment. Join us in our journey towards a greener, more sustainable future, one sauna session at a time.
